1938 Lincoln Speedster

Timeless Detroit Customization meets modern Craftsmanship

Reviving an icon of American automotive history, the 1938 Lincoln Speedster is now undergoing a meticulous restoration by Detroit Metal Shaping. Originally purchased over 40 years ago, this classic car was custom-built in Detroit during the 1950s, a true testament to the era’s distinctive style and innovation.

In this in-progress project, Detroit Metal Shaping is dedicated to preserving the vehicle’s rich legacy while refining its design to create a clean, timeless aesthetic. Working with a top OEM designer, our team is carefully updating the original features without losing the authentic character that made the Speedster a standout in its day.

From reshaping body panels to fine-tuning intricate details, every step of the process requires precision and craftsmanship. Our goal is to seamlessly blend the car’s vintage appeal with subtle modern refinements, ensuring it remains a true classic while standing the test of time.

As we blend classic Detroit customization with modern restoration techniques, this project promises to honor the past and celebrate the future. Stay tuned for further updates as we transform the 1938 Lincoln Speedster into a stunning tribute to Detroit’s storied automotive heritage.
